Friends of The Meadows 2026 Challenge

In May the Friends of the Meadows are kicking off a '£26 for 2026' sponsored challenge .  We want to spark a little curiosity and creativity and we have some awesome prizes lined up for those who participate, such as a signed Lincoln City football shirt, fun days out, gift vouchers an some delicious treats.

Here's the deal:  we're challenging kinds to raise £26 through a sponsored activity of their choice.  They can get creative and think outside the box!  The number 26 must just inspire some fun ideas like:

• 26 star jumps
• 26 minutes run
• 26 keepy uppies
• 26 laps of the garden
• 26 acts of kindness
• 26 jumps every 26 minutes
• 26 minutes reading each day for a week
• 26 minutes of sponsored silence
• 26 portions of fruit and veg eaten in a a week

We hope each child can raise £26 by seeking sponsorship from their friends and family (parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, friends, neighbours).  We encourage you to have a discussion with your children about helping others and how their efforts directly benefit our school!  All funds raised will go towards enhancing our pupils experiences at school.  Here are some examples of what past funds have been used for:

• Covering transport costs for school trips, including Christmas performances and mid year outings
• Reception book bags
• Requests from teachers for classroom supplies
• A savings pot for new playground equipment
• Year 6 leavers events
