We are delighted to be supporting the NSPCC by taking part in Number Day on Friday 17th January 2025. Please
read on to find out about a special dress up day and what will be happening in school on this day!
Everything the NSPCC does protects children today and prevents abuse tomorrow. The NSPCC need our support
more than ever. By raising money, we can help to fund their vital services such as Childline – the helpline that’s
always there for children and young people whatever their problem or concern.
On average, a child contacts Childline every 45 seconds.
Making maths meaningful
Number Day is a great way to make maths fun and bring about a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude towards it.
• We are taking part in a maths themed dress up day based on our online maths games Numbots and TT
Rockstars. EYFS & KS1 can dress up like a Numbot robot and KS2 can dress up like a TT Rock Star or even a
famous rock star of their choice. Ideas for fancy dress on the following page.
• We are having a fun day of maths activities, which will include Numbot challenges, activities and games for the
younger children and TT Rockstar battles and activities for the older children!
• In KS2 there will be a live play off in assembly with the fastest member of staff against the fastest child on TT
Rockstars! Get practising everyone!
Fundraising
• There will be a ‘glam station’ where children can pay 50p for a ‘rock star’ tattoo or ‘robot’ tattoo during the
school day (younger children to bring money in a named envelope on the day). All money raised will go to the
NSPCC.
• We’re also setting up an online ‘Superkind’ donation page – link will be sent by School Ping next week. Please
feel free to donate if you can and share with friends so we can support the NSPCC.
It all adds up
We’re really looking forward to all the fun of Number Day 2025, and we really appreciate your support.
All the money we raise at Waterfoot Primary will make an enormous difference to children today and help the
NSPCC be there for children tomorrow.
