St Swithun’s is a world-class girls’ boarding and day school offering a complete education, founded in 1884.

Our vision is a world where young women see possibilities, not barriers.

The school aims to develop independently minded young women who show courage, compassion, commitment and quiet self-confidence.

The Bramston Foundation is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) with a volunteer trustee board of parents, former students and parents, supported by the headmistress and bursar, who give their time, skills and support to help with raising funds for:

  • The Bramston Foundation’s transformational bursary programme, which provides boarding places to bright but vulnerable girls from extremely disadvantaged or complex circumstances.
  • Capital building projects and improvements that help to keep the facilities and the offer for students at St Swithun’s School world class.
