The CHSA is currently raising money for a replacement minibus and we are very close to this goal. So far in 2026, we gave £800 for new books for Key Stage One pupils, donated a camera, and funded SATS breakfasts for Year 6. We have just donated powerful fans for each classroom to improve conditions during the hot weather at a cost of £599.94 for 6 fans. Year 1 took the initiative and self-funded their own fan on the first hot day!
As more heatwaves are likely in future, the CHSA is keen to work with the school and raise funds for a long-term solution such as air conditioning or HVAC and awnings for south-facing windows.
CHSA funds will be spent on equipment, resources, or experiences that benefit all pupils and/or whole year groups at a time. We regularly liaise with and listen closely to the school to find out what is most urgently needed. We all know that money is tight in state schools. At Church Hill School, we are lucky to have an overwhelming amount of goodwill and support from families of the school and the wider local community. Thank you for any and all contributions. The money we raise will make a real difference for our children.
