Walk to School Week 2026

Starting the week beginning Monday 18th May, we are encouraging everyone to think differently about how they travel to school. All week long, children and families can take part by walking, biking, scootering, or using public transport. Every small change helps to make a big difference for our health and our planet.

This year, we are also proud to support Living Streets, a charity that works to create safer, healthier streets for everyone. To raise awareness and funds, we will be joining in with Happy Shoes Day – a celebration all about movement, confidence, and joy.

🎉 Happy Shoes Day – Tuesday 19th May 🎉
On Tuesday, children are invited to come to school wearing their craziest, happiest, most joyful shoes! Bright, bold, sparkly, colourful – anything goes! Shoes that make you smile are exactly what we want to see. We can’t wait for the playground to be filled with brilliantly happy footwear.

By taking part, children will be helping to support Living Streets and learning how active travel can improve wellbeing, protect the environment, and bring communities together.
