Foxes’ 2026 Challenge

Friends of Newport School (FONS) are inviting all children and their families to take part in the 2026 Fundraising Challenge!
We are asking each child to try and raise £26 (Or as little or as much as you can £2.60 or even £260.00).. Children can take part on their own or with their family, and every contribution makes a real difference.
Why £26? If every child raises £26, together we could raise over £10,000 to raise funds for Project Playground. We need to raise a minimum of £30,000 to get started on the first phase of an exciting playground redevelopment. Our aim is to create welcoming, inclusive outdoor spaces where children can relax, read, play, and be active – including a shaded seating and calm hang-out area. These new spaces will support children’s wellbeing, creativity, learning, and physical development in all weathers, helping every child enjoy playtime in a way that suits them.
We are asking you and your children to JOIN THIS CAMPAIGN and help us make change!
              Earn yourself a FONS 2026 Challenge Badge
This challenge purely consists of challenging yourself and/or your children or workplace to raise £20.26 in 2026 (Or as little or as much as you can).
Taking the number 26 as inspiration we challenge you to fundraise whichever way you like!
Perhaps you could do:
  • 26 pages or 26 books to read
  • 26 Jobs
  • 26 bike rides
  • 26 minute dance routine
  • 26 pieces of art to sell 
  • 26 minute or 2hrs 26min or even 26 hours silence
  • or perhaps bake and sell 26 cupcakes
Perhaps if your a parent - would you challenge yourself to run/walk 26 miles for us - a mile a day?!
We encourage you to use your imagination!
A paper sponsorship form is available from the school office
OR
click the button "join this campaign" and create your own online fundraiser selecting "FONS (Friends of Newport School, Barnstaple)" as your beneficiary.. share the link/Scan the QR Code for friends and family to donate online.
There will be prizes for the pupils who collect the most donations, the most imaginative fundraising ideas and a Pizza Party for the class who collects the most donations.
