FONS is a dedicated group of parents, carers, friends and staff working together to enrich the school experience for every child at Newport Community School Primary Academy in Barnstaple. Through fun, family-friendly fundraising events like School Discos, Movie Nights Summer Fayres, and Bingo Nights we raise vital funds that directly support the school—helping to provide extra resources, equipment, and experiences that go beyond the standard curriculum. Our fundraising has helped to fund playground improvements, instruments, outdoor library, and many other things that bring learning to life and make Newport a happy environment for every child. Every penny raised makes a real difference. We’re always looking for new volunteers and fresh ideas! Whether you can spare an hour to help at an event, bake a cake, or join our planning team, your support is invaluable. Together, we can continue to make Newport School an even more vibrant and inspiring place to learn.
